Peer Program. Assisted in the implementation of a new peer program for Dakota County, May 2022. Manage peer caseload, in control of assigning and closing out participants. Complete IBCLC yields and assist in supporting peers' needs. Developed a comprehensive WIC Peer Binder as a valuable resource for all Peers in supporting their participants on their journey.
Feeding Your Baby Group: Collaboration with a public health nurse as lead IBCLC to conduct comprehensive breastfeeding assessments and weight checks. Support group for individuals in need, wherever their feeding journey is at.
WIC IBCLC. Oversee all complex lactation cases for Dakota County. I manage an inbox where all staff can send lactation-related needs and referrals. Currently working on developing a standardized prenatal lactation education curriculum for WIC staff and Peers to help participants be as successful as they can with breastfeeding.
Clinic Lead. Management of the Hastings clinic for Dakota County. We have partnered with Hastings Family Services to complete WIC appointments at this location to better serves our participants. Go to person for this location and working well with partner in collaboration of support for families in need.
WIC Nutrition Specialist. Evaluation of program eligibility and complete comprehensive assessment of family needs, per federal guidelines to enhance health outcomes. Develop at-risk participant care plans and coordinate community, medical, and social service referrals, ensuring comprehensive support. Skilled in participant-centered services and utilized on a daily basis during interactions with families to identify mutually established goals. Complete annual trainings on inclusion, diversity, equity, and access. Experience with working with families from various backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives. I manage medical formula inventory, ensuring adequacy for high-risk participants. I complete quarterly scale testing for two of our clinic locations to ensure accurate assessments are completed.
