Beginning my law enforcement career in 2010 as a telecommunicator I began to develop communication skills that are both professional and compassionate in times of emergencies and high pressure situations. My skillset expanded upon my employment with the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office as a Detention and Corrections Deputy. As a Detention Deputy, I further developed my communication skills, defensive tactics practices and criminal law procedures while providing safety and security for the facility. Additionally, I was a certified member of the Corrections Response team and a Field Training Officer.
After completing the Crossover training from Corrections to Law Enforcement I returned to the Largo Police Department where I was able to utilize the skills I had acquired through my career development and apply them to my position in patrol, eventually graduating into a position in the Problem Oriented Policing Unit.
My tenure within the law enforcement field has built a foundation which has developed me into an instructor on several topics to include OC Aerosol, Monadnock MEB, TASER 7, recruit officer safety, and Active Assailant Event.
I am an active member of the Honor Guard, mentorship program, and Family Reunification Task Force.
My active participation through multiple facets of the department has highlighted my teamwork, problem solving, communication, and passion for the success of the future of the city. I take pride in my self propelled motivation for the betterment of my career and my service to the community.
