As the bestselling author of Always Coming Back Home, The Ocean Is Calling, and A Hui Hou: Until We Meet Again, I've shared powerful stories of resilience, exploration, and leadership. My husband’s tragic 2018 scuba diving death inspired me to release the documentary, If Only, which promotes safe diving practices. As a current doctoral candidate, I’m focused on the intersection of leadership and ocean/climate science, specifically establishing citizen science programs for young leaders. As a polar explorer, I've conducted expeditions and in-water research in both the Arctic and Antarctic, continuously pushing boundaries and establishing a pathway for others to do so as well. As co-founder of The Seabirds Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, I lead initiatives in ocean conservation, education, and exploration, empowering citizen scientists to creatively combat the marine and climate crisis.
My journey as a military widow and mother of three children has instilled in me a profound resilience and appreciation for life. My mission is to inspire individuals and organizations to realize their full potential and embrace the extraordinary.
