Reproductive Endocrinology office

-Provided care and teaching for infertility and surgical patients.

Inpatient and outpatient Endoscopy Suite.

-Preformed all duties in the department: pre-op, intra-op, and post-op for patients under going colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, EUS, ERCP, Super D, EBUS and bronchoscopies.

-IV sedated patients while providing cardiac and vital sign monitoring.

-Educated patients and family members on procedures, results, varies GI conditions and discharge paperwork.

-Educated staff on procedures, equipment, and protocols.

-Precepted nursing and endoscopy tech new hires.

-Wrote the standard of care on motility procedures. Wrote the protocol on high level disinfecting for the motility catheter.

-Followed all infection control guidelines and protocols for cleaning of scopes.

-Collected and labeled all biopsy specimens per protocol.

Intensive Care Unit

- Delivered continuous bedside care to critically ill patients, including septic shock, respiratory failure, cardiovascular failure and post surgical patients.

-Monitored patients undergoing the Hypothermia Protocol, SLED, and critical medication titration.

-Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, treat and asses patients.

Medical/Surgical

-Worked on a 20 bed Medical/Surgical floor, with patients admitted with orthopedic surgeries, pneumonia, bowel obstructions/resections, seizures, COPD, etc.

- Worked as charge nurse with a five patient assignment.

- Precepted new hires.

- Educated patients and family on diseases/disorders, treatments, medications, wound care, foley care, etc.

- Worked on a 16 bed rehab floor with geriatric patients.

- Gained efficiency in passing medication.

- Gained skill in dressing changes, tracheotomy care, and foley catheter placement.

- Performed nursing assessments on cardiac patients, post-operative patients, and patients with varies diseases and disorders.

- Learned basic skills in bathing, changing, transferring, ambulating, and feeding patients.
