Administrative Support - Research
Conducts literature searches of medical and other academic databases for faculty research projects. Provides technical support/assistance to the research team. Contacts various officials in business and professional organizations to obtain relevant information to support ongoing research that will be used in the publication of articles. On an ongoing basis, independently analyzes and identifies research to be included in the Mays Business School’s research database. Orders books and materials for research purposes. Creates and executes plan to promote current published work on social media, creates and maintains professional social media and web pages. Monitors project timelines and identifies issues. Attends meetings or committees on behalf of supervisor.
Administrative Support - Teaching
Coordinates logistics associated with the printing, assembly, and distribution of course materials. Oversees the Howdy and Canvas websites for courses. Develops logistics of visiting class speakers. Updates all class hand-outs from year-to-year and prepares class Microsoft PowerPoint presentations as needed. Record-keeper for courses. During times of remote delivery of classes, assists with technical matters, monitors student attendance and the Chat comments/questions. Helps students experiencing connectivity or other issues. Adapts, combines, and makes improvements to services, processes, or programs.
Office Administration, Travel/Meeting Coordination
Oversees and coordinates in-town, national, and international speaking engagements of professor, including logistics of travel, hotel, and ground transportation, etc., per university guidelines. Monitors and responds to incoming telephone calls from parties interested in establishing research projects or requesting speaking engagements for professor. Analyzes and responds to requests by the media, academicians, and other interested parties for specific research manuscripts or publications. Coordinates and prepares travel arrangements, meetings, itineraries, and onsite support for visitors, executives, healthcare professionals, and faculty. Organizes meetings. Organizes files, orders supplies, and makes recommendations for process improvements. Coordinates office records retention and maintains office references and resources materials. Participates in organizing departmental events.
Complete duties assigned to assist programming for the Center, as needed. These duties focus on the existing undergraduate degree track, corporate partnerships, an undergraduate scholars program, lecture series, and an associated student organization. Assists with organizing meetings and center events.
