APUSH TA:
- Organized and maintained student records, ensuring accurate and timely input of grades.
- Communicated with professors through email to coordinate academic activities, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Graded daily quizzes, document-based questions, homework, and long short-answer questions for five classes.
Library TA:
- Organized and maintained a systematic library catalog by fixing books, applying barcodes, and scanning materials.
- Facilitated a welcoming environment for students while maintaining an organized book system through barcode management and scanning.
- I cater to feedback-seeking and goal-oriented individuals using visual and verbal communication to provide a structured approach to learning. I incorporate mindfulness lessons to ensure continuous personal development.
- Goal-oriented lessons: providing feedback, encouraging students to reflect on their learning processes.
- Mindfulness lessons: breathing exercises, body scan, mindfulness walking.
I work with a team of six other program leaders. We create lessons for the students covering subjects like Math, English, Science, and Art, while using different strategies that align with the students' way of learning.
- Math: math coloring worksheets, math bingo, scavenger hunts, and puzzles. English: storytelling, book clubs, word hunt, and drama role-playing. Science: outdoor field trips, solar system, and volcano projects. Art: graffiti art, sculpture, and recycled materials. Teaching Methods: hands-on, discussion-based learning, structured activities, etc.
