Ashley Hixson

Hello, my name is Ashley Hixson. I have been in the medical field for over 15 years, with 11 of those years as a Registered Nurse. I knew that I wanted to take care of others since I was a little girl when I helped my mother care for my grandmother. My desire to care for others led me to pursue my Bachelors degree in nursing.

I have experience in many areas of nursing such as inpatient settings, outpatient settings, home health, and community health nursing. I have also had the opportunity to work with different age groups ranging from the birth to the elderly population. This is what makes me a little different from other nurses because I am so versatile. Some of the areas of nursing that I have worked in are: Medical Surgical unit (Pediatric/Adult), Telemetry, ER (all population), Surgery (Adult/Pediatric), Outpatient clinics (Adult/Pediatric), Home Health (Adult/Pediatric). I am confident in providing nutritional education and nursing services to families that require additional assistance as needed.

My goal is to assist family's needs in a holistic approach, using community resources, educational tools, and connecting with other healthcare disciplines in order to provide exceptional care.
