In this role, I provide clinical oversight for all residents residing in the community. I am responsible for medication oversight and well as communicating with multiple physician's office to ensure each resident receives the appropriate follow up when needed. I supervise the care staff at Legacy Village including the CNAs, Resident Assistants and Proxy Caregivers. I performed quarterly assessment on each resident and held care plan meeting with their families to discuss assessments and resident status.
In this role, I managed and coordinated all out patient Cardiovascular Clinics. This included the Pacemaker and Defibrillator Clinic, EP Clininc with TMH physician partners and TMH Cardiovascular Surgeons. I also assisted with a Pediatric Neurology Clinic and a Pediatric Cardiovascular Clinic with physicians from CHOA and the Medical College of GA. I assited with Tele-medicine appointments as well. I was trained to to interrogate pacemakers and defibrillators from different companys such as St. Jude Medical, Boston Scientific and Medtronic.
In this role, I prepared patients for their scheduled surgery procedures. We worked with multiple surgeon and anesthesiologists to ensure each patient was ready for surgery. I assisted with Arterial line placement, peripheral nerve blocks on Orthopedic patients and multiple other procedures prior to surgery. I also started multiple IVs each day.
