- Identify, qualify, cultivate and solicit alumni and parents who have the capacity to make gifts of $50,000+, and manage a portfolio of over 60 prospects and donors.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with donors and volunteers through regular personal contact and thoughtfully designed engagement strategies.
- Maintain a robust knowledge of funding priorities and effectively communicate the impact of the priorities to prospective and current donors in a way that inspires philanthropy.
- Plan, implement, and attend fundraising events to educate current and potential donors.
- Maintain strong communication links with major gift, annual fund and planned giving officers to ensure a coordinated cultivation and solicitation approach to donors.
- In conjunction with the stewardship and communication departments, develop and implement compelling stewardship strategies.
- Create the engagement strategy for and work directly with Georgetown’s Northern California Advisory Board and deliver monthly presentations on University updates.
- Collaborate with gift officers to develop and implement compelling engagement strategies to inspire prospects to make an initial gift or increase their giving.
- Mentor and oversee development associate colleagues to ensure they adhere to the processes and procedures established to effectively support the major gift officers.
