  • As a front desk receptionist my duties consist of a variety of tasks
  • I am constantly answering a high Volume of phone calls to the office, I assert the nature Of the requests and assist or otherwise direct the callers to appropriate staff
  • I provide guidance and assistance to incoming patients with their Lab Orders
  • Retrieve all information pertaining to Medical Coverage insurance information Screen all documents (Lab orders, patient identification, and insurance card)
  • Call in and Fax abnormal Lab reports to the doctor’s office and verify they received the results in an accurate and timely manner
  • I also receive the daily mail for the lab, date Stamp them, sort them and take appropriate action needed for the mail, locate patients File that the mail pertains too and interfile docs
  • I am responsible for making patients feel welcome and comfortable by greeting them upon arrival to the laboratory
  • Provide Courteous Patient/customer Service
  • I also ensure that all data is accurately keyed into our system (Data Entry), from lab results, insurance data, patient data and etc…
  • I input all data and record all the material handled on a daily manifest for future records
  • I acquire much knowledge of what is required to run administrative duties on a daily basis.
