Supervised day-to-day operations to meet performance, quality, and service expectations. Set aggressive targets for employees to drive company success and strengthen motivation. Trained new employees in product knowledge, customer service protocol, cash handling procedures, and safety regulations. Enforced company policies consistently while handling disciplinary actions, when necessary, with fairness and respect. Maintained positive customer relations by addressing problems head-on, and implementing successful corrective actions.
I completed a 7-week run store phase, where I was the acting Store Manager. During this time, I was able to maintain a 93 OE with good store conditions. At the time I took over the store, our OE was averaging between 78 and 83. I learned how to monitor the eSB better and make cuts appropriately, so the store could still run efficiently without compromising the store conditions. I received a store visit from the Vice President and Director, both of which went well, and I was even asked to run another store for two weeks by my Director after I completed this run phase. My team was underdeveloped at the time when I started my run phase, and with an emphasis on team development, I was able to get nearly all of my team cross-trained in multiple areas of the store. This experience has made me an even better Assistant Manager because I now see the best ways in which I can support my Store Manager.
