My role advanced my skills in multi-tasking and working in a fast paced environment. I have also participated in The Women In Leadership Program at The Home Depot. This program was designed to help further the career path of all female leaders in the company. It helped me tremendously with my networking skills, coaching skills and empowerment.
Throughout my time and career at FedEx, I have really had the opportunity to fine tune my management skills. I experienced so many aspects of the company from my time in the hub, learning loadside, smalls, YMS/CC and the Air operation, but have also learned an entire other side from being a part of linehaul. I have been able to excel in my role as well as improve on my networking and communication skills. During my time in the Linehaul department, I have assisted my peers in achieving the Best Linehaul Department in the West for the last two consecutive years. Our department won countless other awards and I was awarded a Business Excellence Award for my role as Linehaul Manager. Additionally, in the early part of 2021, I was honorably chosen to participate in the inaugural run of the Transportation Leadership Development Program.
-Helped implement the roll out of Vector to the entire network during the COVID-19 Pandemic, by serving as the pilot hub; assisted with PGH and Vector staff
- Assisted with crucial input and testing with Mary Howell on her implementation of the Change App, used by multiple departments for purchase transportation requests
- Assisted with crucial input and testing of the Jaggaer application which we now use in the purchase dept, for bidding and awarded lanes needed for the network
- Participated in the DRIVE team that was working on reducing PT Cancellations
