I graduated Respiratory Therapy school in May of 2013. I immediately began working at Natchez Regional Medical Center. I performed floor care of adults. Such as breathing treatments, lung expansion, patient assessments, etc. I also managed patients on ventilators in the ICU, and cared for patients in the emergency room. I also worked PRN at Franklin County Memorial Hospital. It is a long-term care facility. In June of 2014 I moved to Baton Rouge, LA for better job opportunity and growth. I've always known I desired to work with neonates. I began working at Woman's Hospital in the NICU. We managed neonates ranging from nasal cannulas to conventional ventilators, high frequency oscillators, inhaled nitric oxide, and long-term trachs. I have a great bedside manner, and an outgoing personality. I enjoy talking to members of the family, and being a patient advocate as well as an advocate for the parents. I am primarily in the NICU; however, I do take care of adult patients. Our adult patients range from nasal cannulas, EKG's, arterial blood gases, breathing treatments, and post-op patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
