• 16 hours completed on the psych floor of Regions Hospital. Assisted in documenting patient rounds, administered insulin, observation of nurse to patient psychosocial assessment, and therapeutic communication.

• 8 hours completed of shadowing an experienced hospice nurse. Observed wound care, patient assessment, therapeutic communication, and validation therapy.
• 3 hours of volunteer service completed with Intrepid.

• 30 hours completed. Patient head to toe assessment, medication administration, patient advocacy, assisted in ADLs, nursing diagnoses, and patient transfers.

• 70 completed hours. Psychosocial patient assessment. Patient screenings related to alcoholism, depression, and suicide.

• 333 hours completed at several different TCU and long-term care facilities. 270 hours completed via patient simulation. The above hours included giving patient education, diabetes management (taking blood glucose readings and administering insulin). Responding to the following medical emergencies anaphylaxis, septic shock, and MI.

60 hours of simulation. Caring for post-partum hemorrhage and placental abruption. Recognizing phases of labor. Neonatal care and resuscitation. Pediatric care of gastroenteritis, asthma, and dehydration.

• 30 hours completed at TCU and long-term care facility. 30 hours completed via simulation. At clinical site was placed as 'charge nurse' among my fellow students. I was responsible for delegating tasks and assisting others as needed. I also performed wound care and colostomy care. In simulation I responded to a medical emergency of autonomic dysreflexia and triaging a mass casualty event.
