As part of the Fresh Department Team I worked in the Bakery, Produce Department and Deli.

Bakery Department key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the baking of cakes, cookies, muffins, bread and other bakery type products.
• Decorated cakes that were preorders and assisted customers with cake decorating for on-site purchases.
• Daily responsibilities included maintaining proper stock levels on the floor, keeping the department organized and visually appealing to the customer.

Produce Department key responsibilities:

• Assisted with inventory truck check ins three times a week.
• Daily responsibilities included stocking of product on sales floor, keeping department organized and up to store protocol.
• Assisted department manager with determining order requirements and placing order through BJ's inventory system.

Deli Department key responsibilities:

• Assisted customers with their orders by slicing meats and chesses to their order requirements.
• Made suggestions to customers on products they may like or would like to add to what they already ordered.
• Created deli trays for preorders and floor stock.
• Assisted manager with determining and placing stock order through BJ's inventory system.
• Responsible for proper sanitation of cutting equipment and other equipment used in this department.

As the Bakery Manager at Ingles I was responsible for the success of the entire Bakery Department. This department typically employed five team members that reported to me.

The following were many of my responsibilities in this position.

• As manager I was included in the interview process for staffing of department team members.
• I trained new team members on specific parts of their position and assigned training responsibilities to other team members as well.
• Prepared weekly production estimates to determine the quantity of on-site baked products that would be needed.
• The Bakery Manager was responsible for the monthly inventory count and enter data into the Ingles inventory system.
• Responsible for placing inventory orders twice a week and working with team when stock was delivered.
• As Bakery Manager I also worked along side my team in the baking of store products which included pies, pastry, breads, doughnuts, cookies and other products.
• Participated in the cake decorating for pre-orders and stock items.
