- PCU is a 36-bed unit for telemetry, step down, or intermediate level of care. Patients requiring peritoneal and hemodialysis, cardiac catheterizations, pacemakers, internal cardiac defibrillator placement, post-operative monitoring, and interventional radiology are placed in PCU.
- Patients receive continuous cardiac monitoring, and some may also receive continuous oxygen saturation monitoring. Patient can be on high flow oxygen, Bi-pap ventilation, and continuous cardiac Intravenous medications.
