Pre-Exam:

• Reviewing patient medical history, verifying correct exam was ordered for the indication, verifying patient identity, organizing exam rooms and medical equipment.

Patient Care:

• Comforting anxious patients before procedure, listening to concerns, offering support and compassion.
• Developing rapport with patients, families, and staff.

Exam:

• Efficiently reviewed patient history and clinical information to optimize exam techniques and accurately learned how to relay information to radiologists and what to include in reports.

• Successfully utilized grayscale, color flow doppler, pulsed wave doppler, and M-mode technologies to obtain high-quality, diagnostically valuable ultrasound images.

• Observing and performing various types of ultrasound exams including abdominal, renal and bladder, pelvic, transvaginal, first trimester, second trimester, testicular, carotid, venous and arterial of both extremities, breast, thyroid, and soft tissue exams.

Post-Exam:

• Learned how to provide clear and accurate reports of patient history, clinical information, and abnormal ultrasound findings to radiologists.
• Sanitizing and restocking exam rooms.
