As a key team member under NYCOA's EHS Director, I undertook a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing environmental, health, and safety operations. My role encompassed:

  • Project Management: Efficiently scheduled and coordinated various projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards.
  • Employee Training: Developed comprehensive training plans and produced instructional videos in collaboration with the Maintenance department, QC Lab Technicians, and Operations department. This initiative aimed to create a cohesive training program tailored to all employees.
  • Waste Management: Organized and managed the disposal of universal waste, including the creation and implementation of an effective waste management program.
  • Inspections and Compliance: Conducted annual inspections and coordinated disposal projects, maintaining rigorous compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Safety Oversight: Monitored safety procedures related to hot work and confined space activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Additionally, responded to a serious medical emergency that occurred on-site and coordinated with emergency services.
  • Database and Documentation: Reorganized the facility's database and updated Safety Data Sheets to maintain current and accurate safety information.

These efforts contributed to a safer, more organized work environment and supported NYCOA's commitment to environmental and safety excellence.

NYCOA Asbestos Abatement (Manchester, NH, JUNE - AUGUST 2024)

- Coordinated and managed three asbestos abatement projects during my time at NYCOA to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

NYCOA Employee Training Development (Manchester, NH, JUNE - AUGUST 2024)

- Led the creation of various employee training plans for the NYCOA Manufacturing Plant. Some notable training programs include: First-Aid, Fire Evacuation, SWPPP, Universal Waste Management, and Proper PPE. Devised comprehensive plans with the collaboration with Tradesmen, Operators, Maintenance, Management, QC Developers, and Human Resource Staff to accommodate the diverse skill sets and tasks within the production processes at NYCOA.

Urban Heat Island Research (Seattle, WA, OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2023)

- A comprehensive research and surveying project to investigate the Urban Heat Island Effect in local Seattle neighborhoods and explore income disparities in relation to green space access. Aiming to identify correlations between socioeconomic factors and vulnerability to disproportionate consequences of anthropogenic activities leading to climate change.

Appalachia Service Project (Salyersville, KY, JULY 2019)

-  A transformative community service initiative aimed at addressing the housing needs of low-income families in the Appalachian region, specifically in Kentucky. Engaged in collaborating with a diverse team of volunteers to provide critical home repairs and renovations, enhancing living conditions for residents in underserved communities within the Appalachian territories.
