Job Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care to long-term care residents, including individuals with neurological conditions, assisting with ADLs, feeding, hygiene, mobility, positioning, and comfort measures.

Job responsibilities:

• Provide safe, compassionate, culturally sensitive, and age-appropriate patient care, including ADLs, hygiene, mobility, positioning, ROM, transfers, nutrition, feeding, and comfort measures.
• Obtain and accurately document vital signs, intake/output, blood glucose, weights, skin assessments, calorie counts, and other patient observations; promptly report changes in condition to the RN.
• Assist with delegated clinical procedures, including specimen collection, catheter and tube care, oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry, EKGs, and support patients during admissions, transfers, discharges, and transportation.
• Promote patient safety and a clean, organized environment by responding to call lights, following infection-control and fall-prevention protocols, communicating with patients and healthcare teams, documenting care, and maintaining supplies and equipment.

• I supervised and cared for patients who needed 24-hour surveillance for fall risk, suicide watch, confusion/memory loss, etc. I worked long shifts, including nights, in various units of the hospital clocking 120+ hours a month while being a full-time student.
