• Participated in community events to help promote diversity equity inclusion and education. Led and spoke at 3 of 4 marches I attended at the university and in the community. Volunteered weekly visits at the local elementary school to assist a kindergarten classroom with lessons.
• Opportunity to play overseas where I was immersed in a different culture and was able to learn how to adapt to different coaching styles, play and communication.
• Learned discipline, time management, and organizational skills by following a daily schedule and ensuring that I had all of the gear necessary for specific workouts such as practice jerseys, game jerseys, warmups, shoes and braces.
• Sustained an injury (ACL tear) and learned how to adapt to different roles on the team while still being able to contribute to the teams overall success through strategy, communication and support.
• Learned to navigate new procedures in athletics and education in the midst of the covid 19 pandemic
