My aspiration to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is rooted in a profound respect for healthcare professionals and their role in the most critical moments. As a child, I was impacted by the Oklahoma City bombing, where we lost my aunt, Valerie. Learning of the compassion and courage of the healthcare responders planted a seed of purpose in me that I realized years later, when I was first given the opportunity to shadow a CRNA. That inspired me to pursue a career in nursing, where I have gained immeasurable experience and further reinforced my motivation to the field of anesthesia.
