At Code Ninjas, I spearheaded the curriculum development for coding concepts, significantly enhancing inclusive education and collaborative learning. My leadership in revamping the Girls Who Code program and pioneering emotional teaching for neurodivergent students showcases my blend of educational leadership and computer science instruction, driving substantial improvements in student engagement and program quality.
Within my line of work, I would develop the curriculum for coding concepts for the students (ages 7-14)- they would explore these physically and mentally. I would simplify complex programming concepts and expand on them over the span of a month, leading the kids to understand these advanced topics.
I am also, currently, the sole leader of emotional teaching for the kids. This mainly deals with children with neurodivergencies and alternative teachings to keep them content and engaged. We have had a lot of improvement with these students, especially when they would struggle within a traditional school environment.
I have also done a lot of work in revamping our programs. A prime example is Girls Who Code; this program previously was only a title; it was heavily neglected under the guise of progression. I have fully revamped it to include education of historical women in STEM, experiment with STEM concepts physically, all on top of learning programming.
Overall, I handle all of the issues and curriculum of our multiple educational programs within programming.
