As the first point of contact for all visitors at List Elementary, I had to have a positive, professional and caring attitude when students, staff and visitors entered the office. Many (but not all) of my job tasks include:

  • Answer multi-line phone system and enthusiastically greeted callers.
  • Handle sensitive information discreetly, maintaining confidentiality when managing student files.
  • Prepare professional correspondence, including Skyward messages, letters, school newsletters and emails, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Document, track, record and enter student enrollment information including Count Day documentation.
  • Maintain all student CA60 files, either by updating information or gathering all documentation when a new student is enrolling.
  • Enter all students schedules into Skyward at the beginning of the year, with the ability to navigate Skyward efficiently and effectively.
  • Follow up on all new student information changes, especially residency documents, making sure we remain compliant.
  • Create, organize and maintain spreadsheets, making it easier to compile data and track information.

First started as a Front Office Secretary before being promoted to Accounting Assistant. General tasks included helping the accounting department with any tasks they had.

  • Helped accounts payable with printing checks, collecting invoices and sorting accordingly, among many other things.
  • Performed the duties of the data entry position when needed.
  • Created spreadsheets to help sort through financial records and to organize invoices.
  • Completed any tasks given to me by my supervisor involving financial statements and other financial documents.
