I am an active and productive member of a team of 6 doctors comprising of specialists , residents and interns.
In addition to my daily duties of managing a high risk ward with antenatal, postnatal, high dependency unit , a busy labour room and high risk obstetrics and gynecological operative cases, I am actively involved in teaching our residents and interns, involved in Quality improvement projects that resulted in better patient care and efficient utilization of hospital resources.
During the COVID crises I was the lead in the Obstetrics and Gynecology departments Telecommunication project, we help guide patients , help them with information regarding COVID, and sort out non urgent complaints over the phone
I held this position for less than a year it was a transition period from residency to my current specialist position.
Worked in an ACGME - I ( The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education ) accredited residency programe which was also recognized by the Arab Board of Medical Specializations. A 5 year long structured programme which made sure we had ample exposure to a variety of Obstetrics and Gynecological cases.
I was involved in a 12 month long internship programme consisting of rotations in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Family Medicine.
