My role included being an active member of the treatment team and helping stabilize patients. Working in the general ED rooms, trauma rooms, fast track, and boarding rooms of the ED. Help assist the nurses and providers with procedures like peripheral lines, splinting, and medication administration. As well as maintaining my own caseload of patients. Monitoring and documenting patient care.
My role includes working triage starting IVs and collecting labs. Working in supertrack completing orders prescribed by the providers and assisting with procedures. Some responsibilities in the super track include starting peripheral IVs, collecting labs, obtaining vitals, medication administration, setting up procedures as well as assisting. Providing patient education. Trained on various types of splints and being a resource for nursing staff with completing splints.
My role was to serve the community of Wayne County. Responsibilities of maintaining a safe and secure scene for myself and my partner. Overseeing and maintaining assigned ambulances. Responsibilities for assessing and evaluating patients on the scene and providing appropriate treatment within the county protocols and my scope of practice. Transporting patients to the hospital to receive continued care.
My role was to provide recreation-based medical treatment to individuals with mental health disorders. My responsibilities included assessing patients and developing a treatment plan. Plan and implement treatments in individual and group interventions. Documenting treatment and reporting treatment progression to the treatment team. Creating and developing new programs to implement within the hospital. I also was a training therapist who worked with interns and new employees.
