I enter promotion's, new hire information, demotion's, position number changes, last name changes, and degree updates for employees within my regions into the PMIS data system. I also work with the leave unit to ensure all employee's that have approved paid/unpaid leave information (time off) are entered into their personal file.
I create memo's, enter employee's into the Data base & follow up with email's regarding employee status. I work with my department to ensure payroll information & separations are kept up to date and always documented. Filing, Faxing, documentation and communication skills are utilized during my professional position, while keeping a positive atmosphere.
I obtain prior authorization for all Radiology Imaging orders and outpatient hospital facility procedures through patients insurance companies. I am the main coordinator in the office. I receive many urgent charts and also last minute rescheduling request. I am extremely efficient while calling to speak to patients over the phone.I verify all of the non clinical details with them. Such as the facility location where and what information they should bring and how long they will be at the hospital for. I forward the information via email or mail them a letter to their home that way they are well aware of what will happen and what is expected on their end. One of the doctors I work for is an interventional gastroenterologist and the other is an Irritable Bowel Disease specialist. I work with the office as a team and also with the hospital side outpatient registration employees. Communication is key in this position due to the constant changes. Everything is documented through excel and our electronic medical record system as well.
Check patients in and out, answer emergency phone calls, collect co-pays, print discharge summaries with additional information for each patient that is checking out. I also generate electronic insurance referrals through Navinet. Send medical referrals for doctors through CRIMSON, familiar with EMR/Aprima System, scan medical documents, schedule/ reschedule and cancel appointments, and send outgoing medical documents through Do clinks System to providers. Send medical records to different offices or companies per their request. Order Office Max orders through Office Depot for office supplies. Also familiar with new ATHENA EMR System through Capital Health.
