Lodge Manager (Solo)

  • Menu-planned, inventoried, cooked 3 meals a day with dessert and appetizers for up to 30 paid fishing, rafting, jet boat clients.
  • Housed, turn-over, managed daily cleaning operation on 4 cabins, 1 lodge, kitchen and 2 outhouses for up to 30 clients at a time.
  • Menu-planned, cooked 3 meals a day for the Elkhorn fire and fed up to 100 firefighters in August of 2023. Hired help for 1 week at a time, throughout the entire 3 weeks of the fire.
  • Managed landscaping, irrigation systems, finicky septic, and off-grid power systems including a hydro-electric system, solar panels with a 24 volt battery backup.
  • Managed upkeep on the backcountry lodge including, replacing plumbing in one cabin, fencing projects, replacing hydro line, and countless fix-it projects on an old backcountry septic, power system with run-down buildings.

  • Inventoried, meal planned and fed 3 meals a day in the high-end Cliental up to 19 people at a time. Went to town once a month to shop food, cooking and cleaning supplies and made loads to be jet boated into the remote ranch. Cooked for large groups of construction workers that were updating old cabins.
  • Managed bookings for outfitting jet boat, hunting and fishing clients and schedules for construction workers coming into the ranch.
  • Found, hired and trained a housekeeper, and a ranch hand for the ranch for the Summer and Fall Months
  • Planted and kept a 9 month garden that kept fresh produce on the table from March/November for the freshest food.
  • Upkeep and cleaned 10 cabins, 2 laundry rooms, one lodge and kitchen weekly/ daily
  • Landscaping for entire ranch
  • Kept 4-10 head of stock fed year round
  • Set up and managed/menu planned/packed and cooked for hunting camp in the highcountry a 12 hour round trip from the lodge the months of September and October living in a wall tent with no running water
  • Helped managed a backcountry generator only power system that operated a few hours a day. Managed my power time and used my power systems like a mixer, or vacuumed when generator ran to save gas running the generator.

Solo Ranch Caretaker

  • Solo ran and operated a historical, trail-acess only homestead with no airstrip.
  • Packed in literal tons all my supplies, food, propane, fuel, feed and weird odds and ends supplies such as water heaters, beehives, mattresses on 6-10 head of stock every year.
  • Maintained 2 historical cabins, 1 barn, 1 sawmill, 6 outbuildings with backcountry hydro-electric/solar power system with a 3x 24 volt battery bank and charge controller/inverter. Kept systems running year round even in the cold Winter months dealing with freeze threats on the cabin and hydro system.
  • Put up 2 cutting of 2 acres of unbailed, loose Strawberry Clover hay by hand via sicklebar mower/ pitchfork, hay wagon, jackson fork into the hay loft.
  • Packed in 8-12 ton of extra feed on horseback
  • Managed and fed myself from a garden/ canning/ hunting with one trip to town a year to buy my dry goods for a year.
  • Spent 5 months every Winter without any access to an airstrip or a way out of the homestead (can handle some of the most stressful situations solo without losing my mind and solving the problem at hand)

  • Quick and thorough cleaned high volume turnovers for jet boat, hunting and rafting cliental up to 15-60 people at a time for 8 cabins and walltents on the property
  • They called me the "Everything Girl" at the ranch. Everytime a cook/ranch hand or maid quit I filled in as needed till they could fill that position.

  • Drained and crawled into the septic tank to clean gunk out of the broken pump (no job too dirty!!!)
  • Cooked for high end weddings, family reunions, retreats, rafting, steelhead fishermen, bear, elk, mule deer and sheep hunts from February-November. Menus were always preplanned, I inventoried supplies and bought fresh produce that flew in once a week on the mail plane.
  • Lived in walltent the month of September for elk hunts in the highcountry. Cooked, baked over an open fire. Weekly supplies of fresh meat/ dairy and produce was packed in on mule train.
