dance

I have been dancing for about 11 years now participating in international competitions, managing and preforming in performances, preforming in charitable organizations like WUMCO and Artisim for Autism. I joined a conservatory at the age of 16 and not only did my abilities exceed, I have reached a point of enlightenment about the true meaning of dance and the potential a solid dance community. I have expanded on the mentality of dance and using your emotions to create authentic movement and the art of using the stage as your own personal canvas to convey your emotion to the audience. I have been going to dance intensives since I was in fifth grade. Two at Maryland Youth Ballet, one 5 week session at Kirov Academy of Ballet, a 4 week sleep away intensive at The Rock School for Dance Education, Two 6 week programs at CityDance Conservatory, all while participating in my home town dance intensive each of those summers. One of my favorite things although, are the performances. Ever since I was about 4 years old I have been a performer, some of my favorite places to preform have been the Strathmore Music and Arts Center or the Olney Theatre Center. Generally my favorite art about being dancer is the journey one goes through to deepen the connection with their minds, bodies, and those around them in not only a physically, but spiritually as well.
