Activities

  • Kappa Delta, Standard Board, Position requires ability to handle discipline issues within the chapter. Role included holding meetings with subject in question and the rest of the standards council. Any issues, if not meeting sorority standards on a chapter or legal level, are addressed. Served in this position for two years, and am still currently serving.
  • MSU Run Club Secretary, Self-started club on MSU's campus with fellow students. Club raises support for local track teams and encourages involvement in run events. More newly founded group for those with or without experience running to encourage the healthy lifestyle and hobby. Secretary position includes help with philanthropy/fundraising events and meeting correspondence.

Community Service

  • Actively involved member of Morehead's community on campus and within the city. Serving as an active member in various clubs at MSU has allotted several opportunities to become more involved. Have served or are currently serving in MSU clubs such as: Pre-Dental, Pre-PA, Pre-Vet, MSU Run club and Kappa Delta sorority. Community service includes those independently active in, and ones promoted by Kappa Delta. Community service events includes, but are not limited to the following:
  • GEMS: Encouraging the involvement of young women in the STEM field. Involvement includes campus tours and teaching several STEM courses with a college professor in support of the Girl Scouts of America.
  • Kappa Delta "Glam Night": Advocation of confidence in young girls through various self-care activities.
  • Letter to a Veteran": Event to celebrate and spotlight those who have served our country on Veteran's Day. Involvement includes writing letters between veterans and reaching out to show appreciation for their service.
  • Shamrock Week: Kappa Delta fundraising week to raise money for PCAA (Prevent Child Abuse America). Fundraising is donated to the national organization, while the majority of funds go to the local branch GCAC (Gateway Children's Advocacy Center). In the most recent event, involvement and the sorority raised over $9,000 for said fundraiser.
  • Volunteering for the freshman move-in on August 11-12 during the 2022 and 2023 school years.
  • Cave Run Bingo Hall volunteer on October 28, 2022, and October 23, 2023.
  • Dental club trunk-or-treat on October 30, 2021.
