● Supervised special education team as the leading team chair/local school councils (LSC).
● Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, tailoring
instruction to meet their unique needs and learning goals.

● Edit and prepare proposal documentation, submit required documentation into sponsor programs.
● Assess and monitor student’s progress using a variety of assessment tools, such as standardized tests, informal
assessments, and observations.

● Generate custom and required reports for faculty and staff regarding research plans, proposals, and projects.
● Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behavior
specialists, to provide comprehensive support for students.
● Lead professional practices consistent with school and system policies in classroom management skills,
working with school records, parents, and colleagues.
● Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and sensory needs,
fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
● Facilitate home-school communications by holding conferences, virtual meetings and sending written
communications via email.
● Monitor student’s academics and behavior daily, tutor students to achieve personal academic goals.
● Serve on special education team, teach, and instruct K-8 Math, Science, Social Studies, and English/Language
Arts
● Implement effective behavior management strategies and interventions to address challenging behaviors and
support students in developing appropriate social and emotional skills.
● Offer professional development and training to other educators and staff members to enhance their
understanding of special education principles and best practices.
● Ensure compliance with all special education laws, regulations, and documentation requirements, including
maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
● Advocate for students with disabilities, promoting their rights and educational opportunities within the school
community and beyond.
● Promote school programs and achievements during monthly Community Circle events with parents, students
and community.

● Advise and assist administration/management in application of

human resources policies and procedures.

● Collaborate, provide advice, and give direction to staff and administration regarding changes/updates to process, as appropriate.
