  • Stay current and knowledgeable on all fair housing regulations as well as updates and changes to tenant landlord law and program changes for multiple states
  • Maintain a professional, trained, and motivated attitude with the Direct Supervisor, Compliance Team, Portfolio Manager, On-Site Team, and all Regulatory Partners
  • Responsible for supervising Compliance Officers monitoring the HUD/LIHTC regulated Communities
  • Perform necessary on-site file property audits/setting up new property files/training personnel/continuing education classes in various states, as needed
  • Prepare a compliance audit report and submit to Portfolio Manager within 15-30-days of completing onsite audit
  • Assist in the Conducting of Acquisition File Reviews
  • Compliance Director UEI Primary Point of Contact: Initiate setup for all oncoming HUD regulated/financed properties and ensure annual certifications for existing properties
  • Provide documentation to HUD as requested
  • Stay informed on all new HUD regulatory requirements and each CA/HUD's interpretations of said requirements
  • Monitor effective dates of the Affirmative Fair Housing Market Plans, Management Certifications and revise as needed
  • Communicate with the Compliance Officers regarding any Compliance questions or concerns
  • Provide compliance directive guidance to compliance officers and on-site team
  • Responsible for tracking and ensuring timely and thorough responses for all audits, this includes state audits, MOR's, syndicator audits, bank audits and any first time occupied audits
  • Track and monitor all utility allowances for the current portfolio
  • Review all state, mortgage, and federal audit reports, responses, and follow up on all audits for closure
  • Review response immediately upon receipt of report; prior to PFM sending to auditor
  • Populate YARDI Regulatory Reports as necessary
  • EIV Coordinator /ensures HUD compliance is maintained to avoid HAP penalties

  • SAVE Coordinator (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) provide training to Compliance Officer/s and Onsite
