As a Student Support Specialist, I spearhead Professional Learning Community (PLC) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) sessions, where we analyze both formative and summative assessment data, acknowledge achievements, and strategize for future endeavors. I play a pivotal role in fostering the integration of data-driven practices into small group instruction, collaborating closely with colleagues to guarantee student advancement. Additionally, I led workshops for K-5 educators on topics such as differentiated instruction, literacy instructional practices, and science of reading integration.

As a literacy coach, my role was to empower teachers in cultivating strong literacy skills among their students. Through collaborative partnerships and ongoing professional development, I supported teachers in implementing evidence-based literacy practices that fostered reading and writing proficiency across all content areas. I provide personalized coaching and mentorship, guiding teachers in effective instructional strategies, assessment techniques, and curriculum design tailored to the diverse needs of their students. By facilitating data-driven discussions and analyzing student performance, I helped teachers identify areas for growth and develop targeted interventions to address literacy challenges. Additionally, I served as a resource for the school community, sharing best practices, facilitating workshops, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in literacy instruction. Ultimately, my goal as a literacy coach was to inspire educators to become confident and effective literacy leaders who could positively impact student achievement and success.

I facilitated weekly professional development sessions for grade level teams, fostering collaborative learning and growth. Through modeling, co-teaching, and providing constructive feedback during coaching cycles, I supported educators in refining their instructional practices. Additionally, I led data meetings where we analyzed assessments and utilize the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Model to drive targeted instruction. As was an active member of committees such as Literacy Curriculum, Equity Leadership, and MTSS Leadership, I contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing student achievement and promoting equity. Furthermore, I serve as a mentor teacher, providing guidance and support to new educators as they navigate their teaching journey.

As a second grade teacher, I had the privilege of nurturing young minds and laying the foundation for their academic journey. In my classroom, I created a supportive and engaging learning environment where each student felt valued and encouraged to explore, discover, and grow. Through differentiated instruction, I catered to the diverse needs of my students, ensuring that every child received the individualized support they need to succeed.
