Accomplishments

I have had a wonderful career of 23 years as a CNA. I love taking care of people helping them to walk and even just take care of themselves again. Seeing individuals broken or needing help breaks my heart at first, but the most rewarding part is when they do get better and get to go home. And some residents that don't get to go home, we become their family. Most of the time they love us as much as we love them. As a caregiver showing love and empathy comes naturally for me. Making sure the residents don't pass alone or staying with them so they are not scared is also important as a caregiver and fellow human. I found myself needing a break after 23 years and took steps to become a CRMA and a MHRT1. Which is a very rewarding job also.

Then I started having medical issues and in 2023 my world came to as end I lost half of my foot. Not having my balance and needing to use a cane and a brace to walk. I am left to start over in a different career. At 43 this does scare me but unfortunately I no longer have the balance and can not preform my job as I once had. Even standing for long periods of time bother my foot. So as scary as it is I am seeking a job in a completely different field. I am smart, a hardworker and quick learner. Please give a chance and I will do the very best job I can for you.
