UAB School of Nursing Honors Program – Literature Review Presentation
[Spring 2023- Spring 2024]

• Collaborated with PhD-prepared nurses and fellow UAB nursing students to conduct a comprehensive literature review and present a research poster at the 2024 UAB Undergraduate Research Expo.
• Presented findings on "Addiction Tendencies in CRNAs," examining the psychological, social, and professional challenges faced by nurse anesthetists and contributing to the broader conversation about mental health and wellness in the field.

UAB Nurse Residency Program 

[Summer 2024- Present]

• Leading a quality improvement project focused on improving short-term dietary choices in post-operative cardiac surgery patients to promote long-term surgical healing and cardiovascular health.
• Developing and delivering nutrition education sessions, analyzing patient outcomes, and collaborating with colleagues to refine educational strategies for optimal patient recovery.

Cullman Regional Medical Center – June 2022

• Shadowed a CRNA for 8 hours observing administration of anesthesia during a pediatric ear tube procedure and an adult orthopedic hip replacement. Gained exposure to both pediatric and adult anesthesia management techniques.

UAB Hospital – CVOR – October 2023, December 2024

• Spent 12 total hours in the CVOR observing an AVR tissue and CABG surgery and gained insight into anesthesia protocols, hemodynamic monitoring, and management of surgical patients preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperatively.
