This program focused around teaching interns the basics of ASL (American Sign Language). Over six weeks we were taught by two deaf teachers, we studied and communicated through ASL and by the end of the program, I had become fairly fluent in the language.

Skills

  • I have experience with cleaning, fixing, and programming chromebooks, and other technologies through a summer internship
  • We spent several weeks readying two elementary schools(Ogden Elementary School, Jenner Academy of The Arts), and a high School(Ogden International), for the upcoming school year
  • Among other things, assigning lockers, and locks, were things I did as an intern
  • Besides the physical aspects of computers I have lots of experience with coding(Python), through my AP CSP class, and two sessions of Discover Computing, with DPI
  • Throughout my life and particularly with this internship I have found that I am a fairly quick and adaptable learner
