NAU Sports Media Club
The NAU Sports Media Club is open to all students pursuing a career in sports media, or have a strong passion for sports media. Students have the access to four different media platforms: TV, newspaper, social media and radio. As a club, we strive to bring together like-minded students who share a passion for sports, attend media coverage events, and work within all four media platforms to cover Northern Arizona sports.
Boundaryless Innovation Lab
The Boundaryless Innovation Lab (BIL) works with the boundaryless Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program to bring together creative and motivated students, regardless of major or background, who are interested in identifying, researching, and solving problems. Students involved with the BIL will meet regularly in a fun and relaxed environment; make connections with other students, innovators, and inventors; share and build skills; form critical thinking teams; and tackle challenges.
Energy Club
The Energy Club seeks to stimulate a social environment to help familiarize individuals with renewable energy operations and applications.
Mountain Biking Club
The NAU Mountain Biking Club is a sports club open to all those interested in biking no matter skill level. We participate in all disciplines of bike riding, serve as a community advocate for biking in Flagstaff Arizona, host group rides for club members and students alike, and offer cycling education with maintenance training. The NAU Mountain Biking club competes in the southwest collegiate conference for cross country, short track, dual slalom, downhill, and road racing.
NAU Investment Club
Our goal is to tailor the club to the needs and wants of its student body with the focus primarily on introducing students who are just beginning in this field, but all levels of expertise are encouraged to get involved. The Investment Club will include a stock portfolio, where we research companies for potential investment. This research will be comprised of, but not limited to, various valuation models, financial analysis, and risk management. We will learn how to generate our own equity research reports on securities to compete with fellow club members for our actively managed simulated portfolios.
We aim to cultivate an understanding of the above-stated research techniques, the ability to select stocks in real-world markets, and the skills necessary for stock-pitching.
