Serving as the Student Manager for not only the Beef Center but the Steer A Year program as well I was given the responsibility to make informed and educated decisions to better enhance the programs and University that I represented Whether it be selecting what sires to use on what cows or how to treat a sick feedlot steer I was at the forefront of advancing two integral programs to the University of Idaho.
As Feedyard Trainee and Assistant Feed Manager with Five Rivers I have trained myself in all aspects of feedyard operation and management and have become an integral peace in the success, performance, and health of all cattle on the yard. Whether it be bunk management or mechanic work I have had the opportunity to fine tune my skills and enhance my abilities not only as an employee but as a cattleman.
