through highschool I didn't really know what I wanted to do for a career. When I chose heavy equipment operations and maintenance through wemoco, my worry was being laid off in the winter or during slow times. when my class took a felid trip to my first shop that I worked at it instantly caught my attention/interest. I applied for a co-op while I was still in school working a couple hours a day shadowing techs in all different areas of the shop. when i graduated in 2023 I found a deep interest in this career path and stuck with it. I was able to do a lot of on the job training and gain experience through the workplace.
