As badly as I'd like to write something artificial, and basic here, telling you a short story about me sounds better.
At the age of 21, my father almost died of an unknown disease. He was in the hospital for over three months. In those three months, I gave up my entire life. The doctors told me my father would not make it, and if he did, he'd be a vegetable.
Everything was lost. I stayed at that hospital in Gainesville, FL for those three months, and had nothing to my name when it was all said, and done. I was sleeping in my car, staying at random women's homes, anything I could do to make it. Turns out, we got lucky. He made it out of the hospital, alive, but not well.
My father needed me for an additional three months to take care of him, and nurse him back to health. During this time, I was working odd end jobs, and one day in particular changed my entire life. A friend of mine hired me as a helper for his moving company. Afterwards, I thought to myself, hmm, I could do this.
I spent the following days building a business plan, doing market research, jotting down expansion plans, projections, and all the fun things it takes to start a business from nothing. I put on my big boy underwear, and went out to find an investor for 15,000 big ones. Here I am with nothing to my name, homeless, looking for a chance. Well, I found it.
Someone took that chance. I moved to Tallahassee, and started my company. I had the website built out, figured out my consumer market, and started booking jobs. It wasn't easy though. During this time I was still sleeping in my car, and showering at my local gym. Thankfully, my luck turned around. Through hard work and dedication, I made 20,000 dollars in my very first month. The rest is history.
Building the company exhausted every ounce of energy I had, and don't get me wrong, being a business owner is awesome, but this chapter in life is coming to a close. I want to venture out, and try something new. Using the skills I've gathered over the years will be fun, and exciting. Seemingly, the future feels like it is about to be brighter.
So, there you have it. Homeless hero to retired millionaire in 6 years. I'm a young body, with an old soul. I hope to be a very valuable asset to an outstanding company, and I can't wait to bring my skillsets to the table to show you what I am made of. Thanks for reading, I look forward to talking with my future employer soon!
