- I was responsible for half of the reload and the 30 employee that worked under me
- We would organize the cargo containers by size and destination on the ball deck of the reload, putting them on the weight scale and input their identification codes to the computer
- From there we would hold a morning meeting with the staff to go over the day's pieces count, which would average about 75,000 pieces for our destination area, and the information the building manager would want to relay to our team
- Then we would wait for the conveyor belts to turn on and start loading the processed packages into the cargo containers from the belt chutes
- I ensured my team stayed on task loading packages correctly and inputting the weight to the load planner and flight crew
- As well as calling sort control to change the destination on the chutes when needed
- I would also manage the time the freight went out so the flights would leave at their designated times
- During production, I was continually in radio contact with other divisions of the operation to send assistant relief to heavy freight areas and to provide/receive vital information for the seamless transition of freight throughout the facility
- At the end of the workday, we would have another meeting to go over what happened throughout production time, things we did that were positive showing appreciation to employees, and then go over the negative with things we could improve on the following day
- After the meeting, I would make an Excel spreadsheet of the information 2 logs we made for the flights and send it to load planning to complete time and weight verifications for our company's records.
