Dynamic Personal Trainer with a strong background from Exalt Sports Performance, specializing in strength training and corrective exercise. Proven ability to enhance athletic performance through personalized programming and effective communication. RPR certified with extensive anatomical knowledge, I excel in fostering athlete development and achieving significant technique improvements.
I programmed for athletes, helped them overcome harmful compensation patterns to improve overall technique. I manage and program all of the afternoon running. I enjoy tracking progress and focusing on important techniques through acceleration, top speed, deceleration, and change of direction. I have seen amazing progress with athletes who were severely lacking in overall techniques. Throughout my time as a trainer, I have continued to study and plan on continuing to study not only in order to improve my capacity to help athletes correct their technique, but to also help me better understand the human body.
When it comes to training, I prefer to take a more personalized approach, develop a relationship with the client and then find the cues that work best for them. Following my studies I try to reinforce positive technique by the use of external cues rather than internal and have found a lot of progress doing so.
While under Coach Bryonne Herring, I fostered my capacity to work with larger groups. This is also where I learned and eventually became certified in Reflexive Performance Reset. While I did not program for the athletes aside from the occasional modified program, I learned a lot about progressing athletes through phases. I also enjoyed the atmosphere that was brought and use that weekly in my current job.
Coach Herring was always able to answer any questions I had and help me to progress continually. While giving me different responsibilities such as running the athletes through the warmups, describing the lift and specific critical points to meet, I was able to find my SC voice as I've come to describe it. I have no problem being loud and commanding in large group settings. This is a skill that I use very consistently while orchestrating runs and group lifts.
