  • Learned and maintained proficiency in first responder skills such as First Aid and CPR to offer individuals in distress optimal support.
  • Ensured swimmer safety by monitoring the pool area and enforcing rules to prevent incidents.
  • Gave lessons to approximately 15 students a day of all ages at various levels, and developed communication skills with patrons of all ages.

Activities

Associated Student Body Vice President 

  • Working on the policy portion of leadership, leading and assisting committees in running student events such as homecoming.
  • Worked mainly with finances alongside school banker, organizing the student store, and working with administrators on events.
  • Planned and lead numerous events such as back-to-school nights, open houses, leadership retreats, and more.

The University of Pennsylvania Wharton Global Youth Program

  • Attended selective business program over the summer of my Junior year.
  • Learned about the future of the business world and finances required to develop a business, and how economics affects the distribution of finance.
  • Created valuable connections and learned about business at the highest level.

ELD Mentorship Program 

  • Organized and led the ELD task force, a group of ~20 students that are paired as mentors to foreign exchange, ESOL, and immigrant students who speak the same language to help them transition into American high schools and overcome the language barrier they faced.
  • Held peer tutoring every Tuesday to help these students on things they were struggling with in classes, and questions they had while transitioning to America.
  • My successors following my plan to expand to other schools in the district this year, hoping to help all those who face this common problem transitioning.

Polygence Independent Research project 

  • Developed a Podcast/Research paper with Polygence surrounding Corporate Social responsibility, and combined my interests in Business and the environment.
  • Interviewed companies, over 6 months regarding their sustainability programs.
  • Invited to publish my findings on Polygence to be shared with others and explain how it affects the environment and businesses around us including exclusively interviewed companies.

Young Investors Society Stock Pitch competition

  • Created a presentation to pitch a specific stock (Qualcomm) to a panel of judges, and why investing in this stock was beneficiary as a buy-to-hold.
  • Correctly analyzed the market (Qualcomm is up 57.64% in the past year), gained valuable skills and insights into the necessary factors that affect stocks and our economy.

Symposium Competition 

  • Entered a competition with my research from Polygence and presented it to a panel of judges that rated me highly.
  • Over 2000 competitors, I was able to share and gain valuable insights about various topics surrounding business.

Leadership/ASB Environmental Committee 

  • Educated students on the environment through screenings, large events such as Earth Day, Ecoswap, Garden restorations, tree planting, etc.
  • Held multiple guest speaker events to help further educate the student body on certain topics surrounding the environment worldwide.

Eagle Scout 

  • Boy Scouts Troop 1015 for 4 years, took on the rank of Junior Assistant Scout Master, helping the Scout Masters organize, plan, and run meetings/outdoor events.
  • Led younger scouts and taught them various life and scout skills to help them advance ranks and in life.

Sports

Club Volleyball 

  • Club Volleyball for Red Rock 15/16/17-1s (3 years) and BAVC 17/18-1s (2 years)
  • Received a Bid and traveled to USAV Junior National Championships 2 years in a row,
  • Medaled Bronze in 18s Open Gold Division (Highest level).

Volleyball for Alameda High School (JV- 1 year, Varsity - 3 years) 

  • Won second-team all-league award 2x (Junior and Senior year).
  • Senior year qualified for State championships got 3rd place in our league.

Basketball 

  • Played since 4th grade with Alameda Vipers, Buena Vista Basketball Club, and Alameda Youth Basketball.

Alameda Gators Swim Team 

  • Swam competitively from 2016 to 2020 in various meets around the Bay Area.

Volunteer work - 150+ hours

Women's Justice Club Consent Presentations 

  • Chosen by teachers and members of the club to go to all Junior English classes to deliver a consent workshop to educate students on consent.

Link Crew 

  • Supported freshmen transfer into high school and became a mentor to them. Hosted welcoming events and other tours for freshmen.

Christian Layman Church Volunteer work 

  • Traveled to Tijuana to build houses for families in poverty and help to educate them in churches. Went to San Diego to help immigrant families find jobs/houses
  • Helped in community cleanups around Oakland with Oakland Chinatown Chamber of Commerce, Help cook meals for homeless people during Holidays.

Coastal clean-ups, food bank, and service projects 

  • Led and participated in multiple events surrounding this.

Night to Shine

  • Working under Tim Tebow, as a volunteer to help create a night to simulate a Prom Night for special needs individuals who were unable to experience Prom in High School.

Buena Vista Basketball 

  • Volunteered in the kitchen during team fundraisers, delivering food to the community and those in need.
