Senior Airman Austinn Elledge distinguished himself by meritorious service as Munitions Controller, 2d Munitions Squadron, 2d Maintenance Group, 2d Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. During this period, Airman Elledge displayed superb technical expertise while loading four C-130 aircraft with 12 Joint Direct Attack Munitions during an Agile Combat Employment exercise. His efforts solidified B-52 rearming capabilities in austere environments while demonstrating the Bomb Wing's Multi-Capable Airmen concepts. Additionally, Airman Elledge led twelve personnel in the assembly of thirty-two guided bombs for a Weapons Standardization and Evaluation Program mission. His attention to detail and maintenance leadership allowed the unit to successfully expend $5.4 million of weaponry and earned him Superior Performer recognition. Finally, Airman Elledge assembled and tested thirty-nine precision weapons and nine extended range stand-off missiles for Exercise COMBAT HAMMER. His mission focused efforts generated an impressive 100% sortie generation rate that earned his team the 2d Bomb Wing’s Team of the Year award, and fueled his squadron Maintenance Support Professional of the Quarter award.
