Austyn Goldring

As a preschool teacher, I work in tandem with a team of coworkers and two dozen children on a daily basis. The skills required to do my job effectively include safety knowledge including first aid, conflict resolution, teamwork, manual labor, endurance, & deep self-regulation. Another essential part of my job is building strong relationships with parents, coworkers, and the children we care for and educate. Planning, structuring, and effectively executing needed procedures are crucial to ensuring the flow of the total operation. It is a job the requires constant vigilance and action while also remaining patient and level-headed.

The big picture of working at Target included a team-based approach emphasizing cooperation, trained knowledge, effective customer service, and timely, effective physical labor. Target team members are expected to work atypical hours and are often called upon out of the blue to ensure business runs according to plan. Target management requires their members to be highly efficient and up to their standards across the board, both physically and socially.
