Proposed Research Study Paper
"Effects of Exposure Response Therapy and Medication on OCD Symptom Reduction"
Performed literature reviews of the effectiveness of medication and exposure-response therapy on obsessive-compulsive disorder symptom reduction. Based on these reviews, a proposed study was created to evaluate the effects of the medication. The paper included an abstract, methods and procedures, proposed results, and a discussion.
Laboratory Project
Bacteriophage Genome Annotation
In a genetics lab, each student was assigned three different genes of the bacteriophage SophKB to annotate. Using the programs Glimmer, GeneMark, and Starterator, we were able to determine the function of the protein that the gene encoded, and and entered it in on the PECAAN databank.
