Throughout my life, I have explored many interests, including acting, guitar, environmental science, and psychology. Yet, ballet has been the constant thread. Since I joined Ballet Yuma at age four, I learned that the ballet world is more than just pink tutus and satin slippers; it is demanding and rigorous. Once I turned seven, I was released to the strict and disciplined truth of ballet.
Still, there’s nothing that outweighs the passion I have for it.
As a member of this community—this family—I love the connection we share, working together competitively without losing the friendships we have formed. Personally, I appreciate the rigorous approach of ballet, as I can return every day and push myself to improve little by little. It serves as my escape, a space where I can leave my worries behind and embrace my identity as a dancer. Over twelve years, I’ve performed in productions like "The Nutcracker," "Swan Lake," and "Giselle." The aspect I treasure in dance the most is performing, where I lose myself in the moment and dance freely.
