Avery Evans

Motivated undergraduate freshman with strong leadership and organizational skills. Political Science major with excellent communication skills, friendly, outgoing, adaptable, and motivated. Highly creative, optimistic, and ambitious. Aim to represent my peers in conflict and help plan meaningful events within clubs. Seeking to contribute to the Student Government Association by promoting policies that can represent every student and allow for their voices to be heard.

Teacher Assistant 

• Work under the supervision of a tenth-grade teacher.
• Support teachers' lessons by reviewing materials with the students.
• Supported student learning through one-on-one tutoring prep in AP American History.
• Help with getting material ready or setting up equipment.

Theater Camp Counselor 

• During summer performances, assisted the coordinator with children performing their shows.
• Entertained children and monitored behavior.
• Facilitated team-building activities and managed daily schedules.

Thespians Honor Society

• Inducted freshman year for commitment to theater and community service through performance roles.
• Communicate well with the team on and off stage, practice proper public speaking, and problem-solving.
• Recognized for dedication to the arts and raised money for each show towards the neighboring elementary school.

Animal Humane Honor Society

• Participated in humane education and served the community through advocacy and service.
• Raised $200 freshman year towards the Humane Society of Broward County and purchased pet supplies, which were donated.
• Joined a "Walk for the Animals" through Humane Society of Broward County and offered to walk the dogs there.
