  • I am continuing my analysis of Francis K. Hassel's Willard Bay Collection that was donated to Weber State University in the 1970s.
  • I began my experience in a Technical Lab course from August to December of 2024, and was then hired by my professor to continue the work.
  • This will aid me in my recognition and categorization of North American artifacts.

Projects

Fort Douglas, Salt Lake City, Utah, 11/23, 11/24

During enrollment in Professor Merritt's historical archaeology class in 2023, had the opportunity to dry screen artifacts from Fort Douglas, gaining skills in artifact, bone, glass, and metal identification. Assisted in processing artifacts from Fort Douglas that were dry-screened the previous year. 

Archaeological Field School for Weber State University        05/24- 06/24

Field school was twenty days, split into ten between two field sites. Acquired skills in survey methods and artifact recognition using GPS and compasses., Acquired skills including use of ground penetrating radar, augers, wet screening, and color identification.
