Experiences:

• To provide a better experience for CSC, Digital, and Adjuster experiences, Claims department needed to have a modern Policy Retrieval API's in a brand agnostic model. Claims, Policy and Architecture teams agreed that a Canonical Model should be used across domains so that we can use a ubiquitous language together, reduce translation and mapping, and as result increase time-to-market for future product roll outs. ACORD NGDS was chosen since it is an industry standard. Leading this effort working with a team of developers.
• My responsibilities included modeling API data translation between Guidewire and ACORD, strategizing incremental LOB conversions for business continuity, and performing development effort estimation, resource planning, and budgeting .
• One more important accomplishments was automating the CICD for Policy Retrieval APIs first by leveraging infrastructure as code using AWS CDK and then using build and deployment via GitHub Actions .
• I also doubled up as Scrum Master , leading Agile ceremonies (Stand-Ups, Retros, Sprint Planning) and collaborating with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Business) to manage the project backlog. Furthermore, I provide non-technical leadership , fostering a positive team environment, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of squad work.

As a Program Manager at Farmers Insurance, I consistently led multiple critical initiatives within the Guidewire Claims platform , overseeing the full lifecycle from conceptualization and strategic planning to complex technical implementations and successful delivery.

• In leading the Guidewire V10.x Claims platform upgrade , I orchestrated all aspects of this significant on-prem transformation. My responsibilities included developing SAFe Agile workflows (feature stories), managing development effort estimation, resource planning, and budgeting . I drove the adoption of a Gitflow branching strategy , oversaw substantial code merging and remediation , and coordinated extensive cross-functional collaboration with QA, DevOps, and Business teams.
• For the Advanced Analytics MVP project, I spearheaded the foundational phase of automating claim reviews. This involved designing and building a crucial integration framework between Guidewire ClaimCenter and Predictive Analytics platforms, encompassing data model design and overall solution workflow , setting the stage for real-time recommendations.
• Additionally, I managed the ClaimCenter R2.0 configuration effort , successfully leading the migration of Property Lines of Business from a legacy system to Guidewire ClaimCenter. I directed diverse onshore and offshore development teams, ensured a zero-defect go-live , and significantly advanced DevOps automation (CI/CD, static analysis), logging, exception handling , and code review process enhancements .

Throughout my tenure at Cognizant Technologies, I've gained extensive experience in designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting complex enterprise applications, primarily within the Guidewire insurance suite for Liberty Mutual. My roles evolved from Production Support Engineer to Lead Developer and Manager , demonstrating consistent upward trajectory in technical responsibility and team leadership.

• Manager & Technical SME: Led Guidewire Optimization efforts, managing offshore developers to address critical technical debts for ClaimCenter upgrades , including WebService conversion (JAX-RPC to JAX-WS) and database query optimization . Responsible for estimation, RFP creation, defining technical runbooks. Also doubled down with Scrum Master responsibilities (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives) to ensure efficient delivery and cross-functional coordination. Additionally, oversaw 24/7 production support for Guidewire ClaimCenter environments during and after major upgrades, leading and coordinating large onsite and offshore teams.
• Lead Developer: Development Lead in building robust, scalable backend systems using Java/J2EE technologies , including Spring Boot Microservices, Spring Cloud (Eureka, Feign), and AWS ECS . Designed and developed the RESTful backend for a digital application exposing Guidewire ClaimCenter functionalities. Key contributions included automating the AWS infrastructure via AWS CDK and building the CI/CD pipeline (Docker, GitHub Actions) for multi A-Z deployment for high availability.
• Production Operations & Support: Possess deep expertise in Production Operations and Support for Guidewire ClaimCenter . Provided L3/L4 support , conducted performance tuning , identified and resolved critical system defects, and implemented monitoring solutions. Engaged with business analysts for understanding new functionalities and upgrade requirements, contributing to implementation planning and seamless rollouts.

Across these roles, I consistently applied strong problem-solving skills , led design and code reviews , managed sprint planning and estimations , and fostered effective collaboration within agile environments . At Infosys Technologies Ltd., I held key Developer and Developer Lead roles, contributing to critical projects for Nationwide Insurance and Northwestern Mutual , primarily focusing on P&C insurance and financial services domains. My expertise encompassed end-to-end software development, with a strong emphasis on batch processing, reporting applications, and system modernization .

• For Nationwide Insurance, I played a crucial role in enhancing their reporting capabilities for various business channels. My responsibilities included requirements analysis , data analysis, scope, and estimation , and active client discussions. A core aspect was the design and development of Batch Load processes and UNIX job structures with associated shell scripting to trigger batch applications. I was also involved in development coordination with offshore teams and project milestone tracking. In the "Independent Channel" project, I also gained experience in designing and developing Axis2 WebServices for reporting needs.
• For Northwestern Mutual, I contributed to initiatives improving financial representative income and modernizing core systems. As a Developer Lead for "Retirement Income," I led UI design and development , preparing mockups, and client interactions. For "FMC Current Income Phase 1," a strategic re-platforming from Mainframe to J2EE , I was instrumental in UI backend (Ibatis, Spring, JMS) and frontend (Struts, AJAX) design and development , requirement engineering (reverse engineering) , and production support.

Across these projects, I consistently performed system analysis , designed UNIX batch and online application job structures and shell scripts , and oversaw unit, system, and integration testing . My work also included C++ executable development for core commission systems and efforts to automate manual development activities .
