Amazing job with amazing people! I learned an abundance of skills working there which included ample hours of forklift and pallet jack experience. Shipping and receiving from freight companies and packages from FedEx, UPS, Amazon etc daily. Storing freight on dock shelves or delivered where needed. While the packages are logged in the system and taken to said department while being sure to log and confirm drop off points of the packages and all info pertaining them! Delivering packages also gave me a great opportunity to work and team build with a lot of great people who worked at the hotel! After we’ve received all of the expected deliveries for the day, we are sure to log all the information into our system(birchstreet)of all of the items we’ve received and this information gets relayed to Accounts Payable for final purchasing processes. And as the day winds down we are expected to make sure everything in the department is put away such as carts, pallet jacks, golf karts. And everything is secured for the next day!
